A 41 year old Gadsden man, Brian Keith Bell, has been arrested and charged with Domestic Violence by Strangulation or Suffocation, which is a felony. 

He was taken into custody after allegedly assaulting the female victim by choking, punching and slapping her in the face leaving visible marks to her face, neck and ear – and bruising to her arms.  Bell had also been served with a Protection Order stemming from a prior domestic violence incident.

Following this latest incident he was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center with bond set at $5,000; as a condition of the bond he was ordered to have no communication or contact with the victim.
