The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone to be on the lookout this holiday season for scams.

There has already been a report of a scam involving Publishers Clearing House calling stating that you have won an amount of money and that they would bring the money to your house, two individuals one male and one female showed up at one residence in a black car and stated that they needed $2000.00 of the winnings as a fee.

The two individuals later were seen on surveillance at the victim’s bank trying to withdraw money out of the victims account. With the Holidays coming up the citizens need to be aware of scams. Remember, if it seem too good to be true more than likely it is.
