Faulty GPS Unit Sends Man into Muddy Field

According to a report by the Summerville News, a Cherokee County man became stuck in a muddy field in the Lyerly area after receiving false directions from his GPS unit. Summerville resident Dale Housch said he saw a blue Ford Explorer in the middle of a field, off of Oak Hill Road after receiving a call that the vehicle was on his property.

According to a Chattooga County Deputy the man, a resident of Gaylesville stated he was on his way to work and was following his GPS, which kept losing signal; he reportedly went on to say the GPS told him to turn left – which he did – into the field.
