Cardinal athletes honored; walk-on tryouts scheduled for April

Gadsden State student-athletes Raven Cooley and Jaylen Hill were recently honored at the conclusion of the Alabama Community College Conference Region XXII North Division basketball tournament.  Cooley, a freshman guard from Anniston was named to the North Division second team. She averaged 10.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game for the Lady Cardinals.

For the Cardinal men’s team, Hill of White Plains was named to the All-Region XXII second team and North Division first team.

The sophomore forward, averaged 18.4 points and 7.0 rebounds for the Cardinals. 

The Lady Cardinals will hold open walk-on tryouts for the 2017-2018 year at 10 a.m. April 22 at Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden.
