Aviation Units and Dog Team Called in to Assist in Search for Missing Centre Woman

The search continues for a missing Cherokee County woman.

68 year old Karen R. Willmon of Centre has been missing since early this week, according to information from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

  Chief Investigator Josh Summerford says Willmon was last seen in the area of County Road 65, and at that time she was wearing a black Native American type jacket.

Willmon is approximately five-feet-four (5’4”) and weighs around 170 pounds.

Summerford informed WEIS Radio News Thursday morning, that Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Aviation Units and the Dog Team from the Floyd County Georgia Sheriff’s Office have joined the search.
