Investigators are at this point refusing to comment on the case but a Gadsden man has been jailed on rape charges.

According to jail logs – 33 year old Elfido Apellido Ovalle, has been charged with two counts of first degree rape and Sergeant John Hallman with the Gadsden PD says the department is not commenting on the arrest “given the nature of the case,”

Ovalle is being held on bond of $100,000.
