Floyd County Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of Old Summerville Road early Wednesday morning.
Major Jeff Jones said the victim, whose name has not yet been released, was alert when they arrived on the scene; the man was transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.
Jones would not comment any further on the case and also wouldn’t say if anyone had been taken into custody however media reports indicated that someone was being handcuffed at the scene.
