A Boaz woman is behind bars in Etowah County pending her meeting a $10,000 cash bond and conditions of that bond including completion of a drug treatment program.

30 year old Amanda Nicole Cofield was arrested on a charge of the Chemical Endangerment of a Child, after testing positive for Oxycodone.  According to Etowah County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Brandi Fuller, Cofield admitted to using Marijuana Norco and Xanax during her pregnancy, In addition to entry into a drug treatment program upon her release Cofield will be monitored by Etowah Community Corrections.
