Mr. James Ferrell Langston

Mr. James Ferrell Langston age 86 of Centre, (Alexis Community) passed away Friday, December 23, in a Rome Hospital.

He was a native of Cherokee County, member of Alexis Baptist Church, former employee of the State Highway Dept. and a cotton  farmer. He was the son of the late Julia Young Langston.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday December 27 at Alexis Baptist Church with the Revs. Herbert Reid, Ethan Parker and Sammy Wilson officiating burial will be in Howell Cemetery.

The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Willia Dean McHugh Langston, Daughters, Gena Kay Langston and Thersia Langston Smith both of Centre,Grandparents, Jim and Leanna Young of Centre.

Memorials may be made to the Alexis Baptist Church or the family will accept flowers.
