Gadsden State Community College Homecoming Court Recognized

GSCC HOMECOMING COURT RECOGNIZED

The Gadsden State Cardinals recently celebrated their homecoming with recognition of the queen, favorites, and escorts representing the various campuses.  

Jasmine Adams of Cedar Bluff was crowned 2016 Homecoming Queen. Adams is majoring in elementary and special needs education.

Her college activities include GSCC Student Ambassador, SGA, Phi Theta Kappa, Inter-Club Council, Circle K and Students without Borders International Club. She is the daughter of Michael and Nobleza Adams.  

This year’s Homecoming King is Anirban Biswas of Bangladesh. Biswas, a pre-engineering major, is married to Parna Biswas. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Science Math and Engineering Club, Student Alumni Association and Students without Borders International Club. He also serves as a Student Support Services tutor and volunteer tutor for the Cardinal Writing Center.  

Other campus favorites and escorts included: Brandy Kiker (Piedmont), Patrick Montgomery (Anniston), Bethany Roberts (Cedar Bluff), Reagan Sims (Hokes Bluff), Michael Spurling (Centre), Terrance Truss (Lincoln), Matthew Wade (Boaz) and Alianna Woodruff (Alexandria).

The Homecoming court is selected through on-line student voting that takes place during Homecoming Week festivities. The court is announced during halftime of the men’s basketball game.

Adams and Biswas were crowned by 2015 Queen Taylor Wynn and King Caleb Dobbs.
