Rome Police responded to two calls regarding counterfeit money turning up at restaurants earlier in the week.
The first call came in around 11:00pm Monday – after someone paid for food at the Taco Bell on Turner McCall Boulevard using a counterfeit twenty dollar bill.
Then at around 7:30pm Tuesday, a female in a green Nissan Altima attempted to purchase food at the Wendy’s on Martha Berry Boulevard using a fake one hundred dollar bill.
The bogus bills were placed into evidence and the case remains under investigation.
