Two People Robbed at Gunpoint in Gadsden’s Paseur Park Sunday Morning

The website al.com is reporting that Gadsden Police are investigating a robbery occurring Sunday morning in Paseur Park, located off Bellevue Drive.

Police reports indicated that a man and a woman, each in their mid-twenties – were in the park at around 3:30am when they were approached by a man with a shotgun who told them they were on private property and demanded money.

The male victim told police he handed over his wallet, which contained about $300 in cash – and the gunman then ran to a nearby car and left the scene.

The only description of that suspect within the report stated that the man was wearing jeans and a hat.

The incident remains under investigation.
