Area residents whose vehicle tags are due during the month of January will get a bit of a break.

Due to the recent snow and ice, Commissioner Magee with the Alabama Department of Revenue has issued a press release that extends the date for vehicle tag renewals to February the 10th.

Commissioner N. Gunter Guy Jr. of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will extend the courtesy for Boat Registration as well.

Boaters, whose registration expired in January, will now have until the 10th of February to renew.
