A Floyd County man was reportedly anything but mellow during a weekend visit to the Mellow Mushroom in Rome.
Police responded to the restaurant after receiving reports that a highly intoxicated individual had started a fight with the owner of the establishment during the early morning hours of Sunday.
When police arrived about 1:00am, 25 year old Wesley Ryan Wright, allegedly ignored demands to stop fighting and he struck an officer in the head. At that point he was tazed and placed inside a police vehicle. According to reports Wright allegedly threatened to harm the officer’s wife and children on the way to jail.
He was booked into jail on charges of – felony obstruction of an officer, two counts of terroristic threats and acts, three counts of misdemeanor obstruction, battery, battery of a peace officer and public drunk in addition to disorderly conduct.
