Two people arrested in a Rome-area motel are facing drug and cruelty to children charges.
22 year old Ranson Lane Powell and 19 year old Amber Rheanne Brown were both placed under arrest at the Stay Lodge and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession and Use of Drug-related Objects and Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree.
Officers say the room was filled with smoke and a baby was sleeping in the room at the time.
Powell is also facing a probation violation charge.
