The name of the person fatally injured in a single vehicle crash occurring in DeKalb County over the weekend has now been identified.

According to WAFF TV48 – 25 year old Alysia Townsel was killed in the accident around 11:30 Saturday Night just north of Fyffe; there were two passengers in the vehicle, 21 year old Miranda Danielle Townsel who was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment, and William Townsel, age 48 – who was evaluated by emergency workers at the scene and deemed to be okay.

According to an Alabama State Trooper accident report the three were traveling on County Road 43 when the vehicle left the roadway and flipped.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation. 

Authorities say no one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
