The Mayor and some members of the Centre City Council apologized Tuesday for what they called an oversight during the recent Fall Festival.
During the meeting, Teresa Starr with the Cherokee County branch of the NAACP, spoke on behalf of some citizens who felt there wasn’t enough diversity during the celebration.
Mayor Wilkie responded.
In other action, the council voted to have the Career and Technology Center construct four much-needed dumpsters at a total cost of a little over 78-hundred dollars.
The council also set the dates for the Fall Cleanup Week, which will be October 28th through the 31st.
