Ahead of the start of the big rodeo coming up this Friday, ribbon cutting ceremonies were held on Saturday for the brand new arena in Cedar Bluff.
Joe Tierce is the owner of the arena, located on County Road 131, and he told us a little about it.
Tierce says this coming weekend’s rodeo is just the beginning.
Cedar Bluff Mayor Martha Baker was on hand for Saturday’s ribbon cutting, along with council members Billie Burkhalter, Norman Burton and Tammy Crane.
Centre Mayor Tony Wilkie, Cherokee County Commission Chairman Kirk Day and County Commissioner Kimball Parker were also there.
Tickets for this weekend’s rodeo are on sale now and can be purchased at various locations around town.
