Authorities in DeKalb County made 11 drug-related arrests over a three day period.
On Friday, Sheriff’s Deputies went to a residence in Fort Payne to serve a felony warrant and found 21-year old Michael Anthony Rogers of Mentone, who had an active warrant for Marijuana 1st.
Officers also reportedly found a large bag of Marijuana on his person.
Then on Saturday, DeKalb Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Domestic Violence call in the Sylvania area and ended up finding 15 pots of Marijuana in the closet.
The indoor grow operation had a light and fans facing the closet.
50-year old Shirley Ann Logan of Rainsville was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence third while 36-year old Anthony Curtis Wilson of Rainsville was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence third and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd.
Deputies also conducted did different routine traffic stops resulting in consent searches in which they found Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
26-year old Jay Byron Goolesby of Scottsboro was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana Second Degree.
25-year old Winoa Lynn Cornett of Flat Rock was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Sunday, during a routine traffic stop DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies and officers with the DeKalb County Drug Task Force found 42-year old Michael Lane Robertson of Grove Oak in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On the same night DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies and Mentone Police Department assisted a State Trooper with a routine road block in the Mentone area.
21-year old Megan Nicole McWhorter of Henagar was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
In another incident, Deputies stopped to assist with a vehicle that appeared to be broken down in the Sylvania area.
24-year old Heather Leann Guinn of Henagar was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.
Then on Monday morning, the DeKalb County Drug Task Force, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Investigators and the Fort Payne Police Department executed search warrants at two residences on Horton Road in Fort Payne and found methamphetamine and marijuana, along with a handgun at one of the homes.
54-year old Janet Hollis, 45-year old Jimmy Dan Houston and 27-year old Taylor Jordan Hollis, all of Fort Payne were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd.
34-year old Elijah Wade Demarco of Fort Payne was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and 3 counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine.
