Two Hurt in Three Vehicle Accident on the Centre Bypass Monday Morning

IMG_1032Two people were injured in a three-vehicle wreck on the bypass in Centre Monday morning.

According to Centre Police Department accident reports, that wreck took place at the intersection with Tate’s Chapel Road at 11:23am, and it involved a 2008 Honda Pilot being driven by 66 year old Huntsville resident Joseph Sasso – a 2011 Ford F-150 driven by 68 year old Bernard Tucker, Jr. of Centre – and a 2007 Jeep Liberty driven by 59 year old Zura Shishania, also of Centre.

Sasso was unhurt, however Shishania was taken to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment, while Tucker was transported to Redmond Regional in Rome.

No additional information regarding the extent of their injuries was available.

Those responding to the accident included the Centre Police & Fire Departments, Cherokee EMS and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad along with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
