One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on the Cedar Bluff Road in Centre.
The mishap occurred at around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Northwood Drive.
According to Centre Police, one vehicle was stopped at the red light when it was rear-ended by a Ford F-350.
The driver of the Ford told authorities that he blacked out just before the collision.
Both vehicles are owned by GTS Communication Specialists of Canton, Georgia.
The driver of the Ford sustained facial injuries and was transported by Cherokee EMS to Floyd Medical Center in Rome.
His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The wreck blocked the eastbound lanes of the highway for close to 30 minutes and emergency crews had to divert traffic through the parking lot of Union State Bank onto Northwood Drive.

That mishap occurred at 2:00pm at the intersection of Northwood Drive when a ‘98 International Series 4000 was rear-ended by a Ford F-350 at the red light.
The driver of the Ford, identified as 25 year old Robert Hales of Talking Rock, Georgia, told the officers that he’d blacked out just before the collision.
Hales sustained facial injuries and was transported by Cherokee EMS to Floyd Medical Center in Rome for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, 40 year old Branham Frederick of Quitman Mississippi – escaped injury.
Both vehicles are owned by GTS Communication Specialists of Canton, Georgia.
