Free Water Management Clinics

  • Weiss LakeThe Alabama Cooperative Extension System has partnered with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, Cherokee County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Weiss Lake Improvement Association to host a series of clinics to address water and land management needs.

The series will start on January the 15th from 9 until 11am at the Chamber of Commerce room at Gadsden State Cherokee and will be an introduction to water resources presented by Dr. Eve Brantley, Extension Water Specialist with ACES.

Sessions will also be held on February the 5th, March 5th, April 16th, May 14th, and June 1st.

Other topics during the series will include Soil Management for Healthy Water; Managing Streamside for Wildlife, Livestock and Water Health; Grass Management for Healthy Water; Farm Pond Management; and Smart Yards for Healthy Water.
