The “VEX Robotics Competition” is coming up this Saturday (February 8th), in the Arena on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre.
High school students from across the state will be on-hand to “battle their bots” and you’ll see an incredible array of robots created from the VEX Robotics Design System.
Two teams will be representing Cherokee County in this ground-breaking tournament.
Registration begins at 7:30am Saturday with Qualifying Rounds kicking off at 9:00.
Electronics Instructor Keith Tolbert and Career & Tech Center Principal Brett Keasler, were both in the WEIS Radio studios Wednesday morning to talk about this weekend’s event.

Principal Keasler also pointed out that the entire month of February – has been set aside to honor robotics and the courses available in connection with that field of study
