An officer-involved shooting claimed the life of a Hokes Bluff man over the weekend.
According to reports, 38 year old Joshua Tate Fielding was fatally wounded following a foot pursuit, just after being involved in an altercation with Rainbow City Police.
At about 11:30 Sunday morning, officers responded to a disturbance call, at Dogwood Trace Apartments in regard to a report of a man armed with a handgun.
The incident remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
