TERRAPIN CREEK FLOODING

New Year’s Day for some is a holiday made for watching football and making resolutions. However for some that live along Terrapin Creek, the day was trying to salvage what you can after the Creek exceeded its banks to disrupt living. One family, Seth and Christian Hill with their son lived in lower level of a home along beautiful Terrapin Creek. As the Creek waters continued to rise on Thursday, the couple took their 4 year old child and went to stay with family members. They returned on New Year’s Day to find the flood waters inside their home. They took a canoe to bring out what clothes they could salvage. The good news is everyone is safe and the other things can be replaced. They are thankful and look forward to things getting better in 2016.
