ROME– Floyd County E-911 is marking Assistant Director Victoria Henson’s 12th year with the department. In its anniversary tribute, the department thanked Henson for her leadership and service to Floyd County residents.

In an accompanying Q&A, Henson reflected on what she would tell herself on her first day as a dispatcher. Her advice was to focus on how you respond when a situation is beyond your control. “Even on the hardest days, you are making a difference,” she said.

Henson also said the job taught her to slow down and appreciate everyday moments. She also listed three shift essentials: coffee, lip balm, and hand sanitizer.
