ROME– The Floyd County Police Department is inviting businesses and community organizations to help families explore, learn, and connect at its second annual Rig Roundup.

The event takes place Saturday, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern at AdventHealth Stadium in Rome. Admission is free, and the stadium is at 755 Braves Blvd. NE.

With an up-close look at trucks, emergency vehicles, and heavy equipment, Rig Roundup offers children hands-on opportunities to explore. Meanwhile, local vendors, holiday shopping, food, and family activities will add to the festivities.

The event also supports Santa Bike Patrol, a Christmas charity that provides bicycles for children, according to the department’s flyer.

As preparations continue, police are seeking partners who can offer informational booths, interactive activities, or resources for families. In addition, organizations focused on education, health and wellness, safety, recreation, and community services are among those encouraged to participate.

However, participants do not need to bring a vehicle. The department is also welcoming groups that can provide other engaging experiences for children and their families.

Spaces are limited. Businesses, vendors, and organizations interested in participating can email mboatfieldfcpd@gmail.com for more information.
