ROME– Police arrested Isabella Ruth Arnold, 26, of Cedar Bluff, Sunday during a traffic stop in Rome.
According to Coosa Valley News, Arnold allegedly fought with officers as they took her into custody.
The report states officers stopped Arnold’s vehicle on State Route 20 at Huffaker Road because its license plate had expired. They later determined the vehicle lacked insurance.
During a search, officers reportedly found two THC vapes and a bag of marijuana.
The report alleges Arnold refused commands to place her hands behind her back. It also states that she pulled away from officers during the arrest.
WRGA also reported the arrest and attributed its information to Floyd County Jail records.
Arnold faces charges of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and misdemeanor obstruction of officers. Additional charges include driving without insurance and operating a vehicle without a current license plate.
An arrest does not determine guilt. Arnold is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
