CENTRE– Senior Tech Connect returns to the Cherokee County Public Library in November with five workshops focused on Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
The series gives older adults an opportunity to practice using digital tools in a local learning setting. All sessions run from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the library, located at 310 Mary Street in Centre.
The first workshop, “Using Google Drive,” takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Participants can then explore Google Docs through two practice sessions on Monday, Nov. 9, and Tuesday, Nov. 10.
The focus shifts to Google Sheets the following week, with practice sessions on Monday, Nov. 16, and Tuesday, Nov. 17. Each two-part workshop begins with Session 1 and concludes with Session 2 the next day.
The series features programming from Senior Planet from AARP, which offers technology education designed for older adults.
Because the library has limited space, residents should call 256-927-5838 to sign up. The library’s website also offers information about its other programs and services.
