WALNUT GROVE – The Piedmont Bulldogs held West End to minus-15 total yards and forced six fumbles in a 55-0 region football victory at West End in Walnut Grove on Friday.

The fourth-ranked Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0 Class 2A, Region 6) scored three touchdowns after fumble recoveries. They built a 20-0 lead the end of the first quarter and held a 48-0 advantage at halftime.

Jaxson Howard ran for 63 yards on six carries with two touchdowns from 11 and 26 yards. Eli Johnson caught four passes for 70 yards and two scores – a 29-yarder from Cole Austin in the first quarter and a 10-yarder from Isaiah Pinto in the second. Aliandre Wright ran for a 9-yard touchdown in the first quarter and scored another on a 60-yard punt return in the second quarter.

Carson Cleveland caught a 45-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter from Austin. Noah Bolton added a rushing touchdown on a 40-yard run in the fourth quarter for Piedmont’s final score.

Piedmont hosts Gaston next Friday.
