CENTRE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors split a volleyball tri-match at home on Tuesday. They lost to Bremen (Ga.) 21-25, 25-21, 10-15 but rebounded to take a 25-17, 25-19 win over Sand Rock to improve to 16-7 on the season.

In the loss to Bremen, Sydni Frost accounted for 21 assists, six digs and a pair of kills. Mattie Green contributed seven digs, three kills and a block. Taniya Fife managed six digs, four kills, two aces and a block. Ava Haygood delivered 15 digs, seven kills, two aces and an assist. Jolie Alexander finished with eight kills, two aces and a dig.

In the win over Sand Rock, Frost collected 19 assists and a pair of digs. Green delivered four digs, two kills, a block and an ace. Fife had five kills, four aces, three digs and two blocks. Haygood came away with five kills, three digs, two blocks, two assists and an ace.  Alexander finished with eight kills, four digs and a pair of aces.

Cherokee County hosts Guntersville and Albertville on Monday beginning at 5 p.m.
