Mrs. Evelyn Sue Nicholson Jennings, age 92, of Gaylesville, AL, died Sunday, September 6, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Jennings was born January 11, 1934, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Howard Nicholson and Maudie Teems Nicholson.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Unity Baptist Church.  She loved playing guitar and singing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Jennings; sisters, Ellen Ray, Charlotte Hegwood, Dorthy Hilyer, and Patricia Verdin; and a granddaughter, Kristin McMahan Milner.

Survivors include her sons, Danny Jennings, Dicky Jennings; a daughter, Deborah McMahan; grandchildren, Joey Jennings, Alison McMahan, Angela Edge, B.J. Jennings, Heather Lee, and Misty Blackwell; 12 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. (AL Time) Friday, September 11, 2026, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Koonce officiating.  Interment will follow in Moseley Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Harold Maddox, Josh Edge, Billy Jennings, Alex Edge, Joey Jennings, and Wayne Stancell.

Mrs. Jennings will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. (AL Time) until the hour of service on Friday.

Flowers will be accepted, but the family respectfully requests no food.
