CENTRE– Cherokee County deputies answered 521 calls for service and patrolled 35,926 miles during July, according to the department’s monthly activity report.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office released the figures as part of its continuing practice of publishing monthly patrol statistics.

During July, deputies served 56 warrants and 132 civil papers. Deputies also made 43 warrantless arrests and completed 48 civil attempts.

The report lists 109 incident or offense reports and 908 trip miles. The activity summary reflects the department’s work across nearly 600 square miles of land and water.

Sheriff Jeff Shaver said the Sheriff’s Office remains committed to improving residents’ quality of life and keeping citizens safe.

The Sheriff’s Office also thanked the community for its continued support.
