Cherokee County Board of Education To Meet July 13

CENTRE– The Cherokee County Board of Education will meet at 4 p.m. Monday, July 13, at the Cherokee County Board of Education Central Office.
The meeting will take place at 200 Armory Road in Centre.
Board members are scheduled to consider several items during the meeting. The agenda includes approval of the June 18 special called meeting minutes and receipt of the May 2026 financial report.
The board is also scheduled to consider the 2026-2027 salary schedules, energy savings budgets and personnel action.
Other agenda items include a presentation on student assessment results and approval of a Child Nutrition Program bid for a serving line at Gaylesville School.
The board will also consider professional development, review current job postings and hear the superintendent’s update.
The meeting agenda also includes public comments, along with the regular opening prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, roll call and adoption of the agenda.
