SOUTHSIDE – The Southside Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man connected to a theft investigation at Johnson’s Giant Foods.

According to investigators, the theft happened at the Southside grocery store. As a result, officers released surveillance photos in hopes someone will recognize the suspect.

Police say the man wore a dark navy blue Auburn T-shirt, a dark baseball cap with a patch on the front, and glasses during the incident. Investigators also believe he left the store in a white or silver hatchback.

However, police say callers may remain anonymous when providing information. The department also encourages residents to share the surveillance photos to help identify the suspect as quickly as possible.
