Body of Missing Boater Recovered

The Alabama Marine Police said at approximately 5:22 p.m. May 19, the missing boater, Jeremiah Gamble, 25, of Tallassee was recovered from Lake Guntersville near the Honeycomb Campground area in Marshall County. He went missing Sunday afternoon when he left his boat and went into the water, went under and never resurfaced.

Search and Recovery operations were immediately launched with the following agencies assisting with the search and recovery effort: Guntersville Fire Department, Guntersville Rescue Squad, Crane Hill Fire and Rescue, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit, Guntersville Police Department’s Marine Unit, Marshall County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Cherokee County Rescue Squad, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Aviation Unit along with ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division.

 

Nothing further is available as ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division continues to investigate.
