Gaylesville 4th Grader Receives “Power of 1” Award for Kindness and Leadership

GAYLESVILLE — A local elementary student is being recognized for her character and positive influence among her peers after receiving the “Power of 1” Award last week.
District Attorney Summerford recently presented the honor to Kayla Hollingsworth, a 4th grade student at Gaylesville School, in recognition of her consistent kindness, willingness to help others, and the encouraging attitude she brings to the classroom each day.
School officials noted that Hollingsworth stands out among her classmates for her positive behavior and her efforts to support both students and staff. The “Power of 1” Award highlights young individuals who make a meaningful difference in their school community through everyday actions.
The recognition serves as a reminder of the impact one student can have on the surrounding environment.
Hollingsworth was congratulated by school representatives and community members for her achievement and the example she sets for others.
