Alabama Department of Public Health Seeks Community Input on Key Health Issues

MONTGOMERY-The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) is calling on residents across the state to share their perspectives on the most pressing health concerns facing their communities.

As part of its 2026 Community Health Opinion Survey, ADPH is encouraging all Alabamians ages 18 and older to participate in a confidential online questionnaire designed to gather valuable feedback. The survey, which takes less than 10 minutes to complete, is available at: https://survey.sogolytics.com/r/LJjwdU.

Officials say the survey plays a critical role in the State Health Assessment process, helping identify health challenges at the local level. The results will be used to guide future public health strategies and prioritize areas where improvements are most needed.

Information gathered will also support the broader Community Health Assessment, which helps inform initiatives such as grant planning and resource allocation.

“Your voice matters, and we need your input,” ADPH representatives emphasized, noting that community participation is essential to improving health outcomes statewide.

For more information about the survey, residents can contact Sondra Reese at the Alabama Department of Public Health by phone at (334) 206-5601 or by email at Sondra.Reese@adph.state.al.us.

County health departments throughout Alabama continue to provide a wide range of confidential and professional services. Residents are encouraged to contact their local county health department for additional information.

ADPH’s mission is to promote, protect, and improve the health of Alabama residents, with a vision of fostering healthy people, healthy communities, and a healthy Alabama.
