Rome Police Obtain Warrants in April Shooting Near Banty Jones Park

ROME — The Rome Police Department has obtained arrest warrants for three individuals in connection with a shooting that occurred near Banty Jones Park on April 8, 2026, which left a 6-year-old boy injured.
Authorities say the following suspects have been charged in the case: Isaiah Imari Curtis North, 18; Tydarius Arthur McClure, 17, who is currently in custody; and a third juvenile whose identity is being withheld in accordance with state law.
Police credited community cooperation for helping move the investigation forward, stating that information provided by residents played a key role in securing the warrants.
Investigators are now asking for continued public assistance in locating the remaining individuals.
