Centre- William Justin Tapp entered a Guilty Plea on March 9th to Robbery 1st degree in Cherokee County. By agreement, he was sentenced to LIFE by Circuit Judge Jeremy Taylor.

Justin Cunningham entered a Guilty Plea on March 31st to Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute in Cherokee County. By agreement, he was sentenced to LIFE by Circuit Judge Shaunathan Bell.

Matthew Long entered a Guilty Plea on April 9th to Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Theft of Property 1st degree in Cherokee County. By agreement, he was sentenced to LIFE by Circuit Judge Shaunathan Bell.

All three of these individuals had three or more prior felony convictions. DA Summer Summerford said, “Continuing to violate the law, and putting members of the community in danger, will not be tolerated.” Summerford continued, “I want to say a special ‘thank you’ to law enforcement who continue to work every day to keep our community safe.”
These cases were prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Brady Burns.
