In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Christopher Hunter, age 45 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Alexander Lawrence, age 19 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of 2nd degree burglary and 2nd degree arson.

Joseph Maxwell, age 55 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 84 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
