Anniston Police Department Welcomes Three Newly Certified Officers After Academy Graduation

ANNISTON — The Anniston Police Department is recognizing three newly certified officers following their graduation from the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy.
Officers Humphries, Franklin, and Simpson completed 14 weeks of basic law enforcement training, which included physical training sessions, classroom instruction, and practical exercises designed to prepare recruits for field duty.
The academy program is described as highly demanding, requiring early morning physical training, long academic days, and scenario-based exercises intended to prepare officers for service in their respective agencies.
Following graduation, the three officers will now enter an 11-week Field Training Officer program with the Anniston Police Department. During this phase, they will receive hands-on training to build on their academy instruction and prepare for solo patrol assignments.
Department officials congratulated the officers on their accomplishment and acknowledged the dedication required to complete the training while spending extended time away from family and friends.
