BBQ and Baked Potato Fundraiser to Benefit Helping Hands Set for April 19 in Leesburg

LEESBURG — A BBQ and baked potato fundraiser to benefit Helping Hands of the Cherokee Baptist Association will be held Sunday, April 19, at Slackland Baptist Church in Leesburg.

The event will take place from noon until 2 p.m. at the church, located at 75 County Road 20. Organizers say proceeds will support the Helping Hands ministry, which assists individuals and families in need throughout the Cherokee County area.

Plates will include a baked potato, barbecue, slaw, baked beans and a dessert. Meals will be available for a $15 donation per plate.

Community members are invited to attend and support the ministry’s ongoing efforts to provide help and resources to those facing hardships in the area.
