PLEASANT VALLEY – Pleasant Valley scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a wild 12-11 area baseball win over Sand Rock on Tuesday.
The Wildcats (5-14) had built a five-run lead in the third inning before the Raiders erupted for 10 in the bottom half to take a 10-5 lead. Sand Rock chipped away with a run in the fourth, two more in the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the top of the seventh to go back out in front 11-10 before the Raiders rallied for the win.
Isaiah Lewis led the Wildcats at the plate by going 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs, and three RBIs. Ryker Woodall went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, two runs, and a RBI. Bailey Martin and Brycen Murphy both went 2-for-4 with two runs and a RBI. Murphy also walked. Lathan Amos was also 2-for-4 with a run and a RBI.
Ezra Robison delivered a double and a walk. C. Tucker finished with a hit, a run, and a RBI.
Robison tossed 2 1/3 innings, allowing 10 earned runs on six hits with four walks and two strikeouts. G. Glenn worked 4 1/3 innings and surrendered two unearned runs on six hits with six walks and two strikeouts.
The two teams finish their series on Thursday at Sand Rock beginning at 4:30 p.m.
