WHITE PLAINS – Cam Mayo tossed a complete game two-hitter on Tuesday. He allowed an unearned run with two walks and seven strikeouts in the Cherokee County Warriors’ 5-1 area baseball win at White Plains on Tuesday.
The Warriors (9-11) scored all five of their runs in the top of the first inning, and Mayo made them stick. Nate Black led Cherokee County at the plate by going 2-for-4. Adam Griffith collected a hit, a walk, a run, and a RBI. Owen Jacoway and Aiden Bobbitt both had a hit and scored a run. Jacoway also drove in a run. James Hunter delivered a hit and drove in a run.
Wyatt Baker walked and scored a run. Cayce Tittle also scored a run.
The two teams finish their series in Centre on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
