GAYLESVILLE – MaKenlee Young allowed no earned runs on five hits with five walks and five strikeouts. She also walked three times and scored two runs at the plate to help the Gaylesville Lady Trojans hold on for a 5-4 softball win over Crossville on Tuesday.
Lydia Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a run for the Lady Trojans (5-5). Kya Green added a hit, a run, and a RBI. Adalyn Lusk and Kylie Canada both had a hit, a walk, and a RBI.
Bayleigh Ratliff scored a run and had a RBI. Charlee Sentell drove in a run.
Gaylesville hosts Anniston on April 6.
