Jennifer Cambron Receives Prestigious Shining Star Award

CENTRE- Cherokee County Health and Rehab Center Administrator Jennifer Cambron was recognized last week with one of long-term health care’s most prestigious honors, receiving the Shining Star Award from the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing.

The award is presented annually to a member who embodies a spirit of inspiration while positively impacting the lives of residents, their families, and fellow staff members.
Cambron’s 25-year career in long-term health care has spanned multiple roles, beginning as a nursing assistant and progressing to administrator. Throughout that time, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to residents, staff, and the broader community.
Under her leadership, Cherokee County Health and Rehab Center has expanded its memory care and post-acute services, launched mentorship programs designed to support new staff members, and introduced resident-centered traditions. Among those initiatives are “Rehab Rockstar” celebrations that recognize residents who have successfully completed rehabilitation and are returning home.
Cambron said the foundation of her leadership approach is teamwork and shared purpose, which she believes helps foster a culture built on compassion and respect within the facility.

“No administrator succeeds alone. Every accomplishment, every improvement, every moment of pride is the result of a team that shows up with dedication, compassion and heart,” she said.
Cambron accepted the Shining Star Award on behalf of the entire staff at Cherokee County Health and Rehab Center.
“This recognition belongs to my team at Cherokee County Health and Rehab,” she said. “They are the true stars. They are the reason our residents feel safe, loved and valued. They are the reason I am proud to walk through these doors every day.”
