Cedar Bluff Gets Grant for Police Department

A New Police Vehicle for the Town of Cedar Bluff

The Town Council of Cedar Bluff had a special called meeting Tuesday afternoon for the purpose of approving the purchase of a new Ford Explorer from Stiver Ford off the State bid list in the amount of $57055. The Council also approved the purchase of a light package for the unit in the amount of $3041.32 from Thomas Key of Gaylesville.

The Town will have to pay for the vehicle but will be reimbursed $50,000 from a grant obtained from ADECA. Officer Jamie Chatman applied for the grant with it being awarded on March 10th.

Chief Jeremy Stepps and Mayor Bill Warren thanked Chatman for his work in getting the grant for the department.

Mayor Bill Warren also thanked Senator Andrew Jones who was instrumental with the Town getting the Grant.
