ATTALLA – The Cherokee County Lady Warrior soccer team began area play Tuesday at Etowah. The Lady Warriors blanked the Lady Blue Devils 10-0, while the Warrior boys dropped a 5-2 decision in the nightcap.
In the girls match, Ava Haygood scored five goals. Berkley Isaacs kicked in three goals. Chloe Wood and Chloe Battles netted a goal apiece. Isabella Segura added five assists.
Cali Martin and Bella Peace combined for the shutout on goal.
In the boys match, Angelo Davila scored both Warrior goals.
Cherokee County’s next match is Thursday at home against Munford. The girls kick off at 5 p.m., followed by the boys at 7 p.m.
