Coroners from across the State of Alabama, along with investigators from Cherokee County law enforcement agencies, were invited to attend the specialized training. The hands-on session provided educational opportunities and insight into the anatomical and investigative aspects associated with the duties of coroners and death investigators.

Participants also received Continuing Education hours that count toward requirements established by the Alabama Coroner’s Training Commission.

Cherokee County Coroner Paul McDonald expressed appreciation to Dr. Dean Buttram, department head; Professor Joseph Scott Morgan; and Instructor London Pierce for providing their time and expertise to help conduct the training.
